Anchorage Downtown Market
The Anchorage Downtown Market is held every Saturday and Sunday from mid-May through mid-September downtown near 3rd & E Streets. This popular summer event hosts over 300 vendors and entertainers and offers a variety of goods including fresh Alaska grown produce, fresh seafood, wonderful food booths, handmade arts and crafts and lots of Alaska gifts. Denali National Park
The National Park Service offers detailed information on spectacular Denali National Park & Preserve, featuring North America's highest mountain, 20,320-foot tall Mount McKinley.  Denali's more than 6 million acres includes a complete sub-arctic eco-system with outstanding opportunities for viewing grizzly bears, wolves, Dall sheep, caribou, fox, and moose.   This visitor information site also includes detailed information on the park’s shuttle bus system, camping, nature walks and interpretive programs.

Kenai Fjords National Park
The Kenai Fjords are coastal mountain fjords featuring pristine, rugged landscapes along the calm seas off the southeastern Kenai Peninsula.   The fjords are steep, glacier-carved valleys now filled with ocean waters.   The surrounding mountains are encompassed by the 300-square mile Harding Icefield, which is 35 miles long and 20 miles wide.  The park's wildlife includes moose, bears, mountain goats, wolverines, marmots, Bald eagles and the thousands of seasonal seabirds that inhabit the rocky cliffs and shores.  The fjord waters are teeming with Dall porpoises, stellar sea lions, harbor seals, sea otters, humpback and killer whales.  This visitor information site includes detailed information the park’s geologic and natural history, along with many ways to explore the park.

Gates of the Arctic National Park
When the Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve was created in 1980, a vast and undeveloped area of 8.2 million acres of intact ecosystems and incredible natural beauty was preserved.  These remote parklands hold a variety of ecotypes - from the lowland wild rivers and lakes of the forested south slopes across the spine of the continent to the treeless, undulating tundra of the Arctic Slope’s northern foothills.  This National Park Service site offers great visitor information on traveling to this wild region.

Katmai National Park
Katmai is famous for world class giant brown bear viewing, fantastic fishing, volcanoes and rugged wilderness.  At the Brooks Falls Camp and along the coast, these great mammals can be seen feasting on salmon and grasses.   This National Park Service website offers detailed information on the geological and natural history of the park, as well as practical visitor information.
