St. Paul Pribilof Island Tour:

Rising from the middle of the Bering Sea, the 14 mile long volcanic island of St. Paul is more than 300,000 years old and one of several comprising the Pribilof Islands.  Lying 750 miles west of Anchorage and just 500 miles east of Siberia, the sub-Arctic maritime climate is cool year round.  And the friendly Aleut natives, (descended from highly skilled craftsmen, hunters and seafarers), still work the Bering Sea as crab and halibut commercial fisherman.

World renowned for the over 200 species of migrating birds that spend every spring and summer there, St. Paul also hosts the largest fur seal rookery in the world - estimated at 600,000 animals.  Buffeted by the waves and the winds, the rocky sea cliffs, sandy beaches and rolling hills of St. Paul constitute its unique and beautiful landscape.  Wildlife photographers and bird watchers alike venture to St. Paul to view the summer nesting of over two million pelagic sea birds.   Some of the most abundant birds sightings include arctic loons, thick billed murres, a variety of sandpipers, red legged kittiwakes, harlequin ducks, cormorants, tufted puffins, northern fulmars, black footed albatross and many others too numerous to name.

Five different tour packages are offered and all flights are out of Anchorage, departing on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.    Each tour includes:
